Just take the cool shadow effect for its worth! The idea was that the shadow was placed on the archaic part of life- Mythology and the looming govermental-style/greek strength looms over the art. It's sad, but a true statement. This church is more well known for the marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles than it is for its rich history and even beauty.
